The role The Controller assumes primary responsibility for driving effective P&L and Balance Sheet processes and monitoring results through strategically driven decision-making.
This individual will provide essential oversight to business performance, variance identification, key monthly and quarterly reporting, and controls compliance.

You will Lead the company's monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process, collaborating across teams to understand variance drivers and key risks and opportunities Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and corporate governance policies Possess an understanding of Percentage Complete accounting for revenue recognition related to the company's primary line of business Be responsible for the preparation of management reports, budget variance analysis, journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, review of team members' work, and other ad hoc projects Conduct inventory cost analysis, reconciliation, bill of material cost maintenance, and monthly journal entries Act as project manager for financial audits and tax filings Actively be involved in and oversee the current team responsible for all accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, G/L accounting, payroll, cash flow forecasting, etc.
Have responsibility for property tax and other state and local tax filings Accept responsibility for the organizational goals by taking ownership of new and different duties and identifying new opportunities within the Accounting department Conduct a complete analysis of periodic financial results (P&L, B/S, and Cashflow) with variance explanations and highlighting issues Perform special ad hoc analyses that include running scenario analyses to support key strategic decisions We're looking for A minimum of (5) five years prior Accounting Management experience A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred Solid Accounting background, exceptional analytical skills, and adept at identifying trends and variances Prior Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience, preferably Epicor Proficient with MS Office Strong Excel skills - must be comfortable analyzing and manipulating large data sets High level of professionalism and ability to effectively communicate information with internal and external stakeholders in a positive and influential manner Exceptional communication skills; ability to interact with and persuasively present financial results to all levels of management with strong attention to detail Excellent organizational and time management skills The ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with a focus on teamwork, growth mindset, and process improvement Just so you know This is not a remote position We require pre-employment drug testing and a background check We offer Competitive compensation and generous employee benefits.
