Value Stream Leader
Milacron is looking for a Value Stream Leader to join our team in Batavia, OH.
As a Value Stream Leader you will be responsible for facilitating flow and value to our customers.
You will influence the daily operations of our resources, planning, procurement, project management, engineering, and manufacturing with our strategic and production plans.
The Value Stream Leader has overall leadership responsibility for strategy deployment alignment and ensuring cross-functional alignment to achieve our goals.
The Value Stream Leader is a change agent to reduce waste throughout the manufacturing operations, leveraging the deployment of Lean methodology and organizational development.

Lead low pressure injection molding value stream supporting equipment products Manage change or non-complex new functionality more frequently on various cross-functional areas Regularly interface with multiple customers and potential customers for various product lines and services Regularly influence and negotiate to achieve and/or exceed enterprise commitments Establish a high-level OEM/customer relationship Lead complex teams with some matrixed responsibilities Be accountable for performance of the assigned value stream Lead decision making for the value stream team and apply critical thinking where incomplete data exists.
Develop internal and external networks and effectively communicate vision to value stream team, connecting how the vision fits within the enterprise strategies and the impact over projects large in scope Plan, direct, and monitor budget.
Strategic R&D investments may span over 1-5 years as appropriate Provide input to the strategic plan for their specific project and have influence to the SMP.
Drive the production schedule, capacity, and staff across all shifts of the value stream Plan, assign, and direct work for the team to achieve targets and goals Establish appropriate reports/metrics, analyzing data and reporting on outcomes to team and plant manager on the value stream Ensure all operations are performed safely and engage team to drive safety improvements Establish long & short-term goals with relevant metrics to drive increased performance and create opportunities for constructive engagement from all members of the value stream Identify talent needs, interview, hire, and onboard employees Partner with new product development teams, commercial team, and others to manage new product introductions Identify and execute on Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing initiatives within the value stream Demonstrate success managing entire lifecycle of products and services for a client/customer Other duties may be assigned Basic Requirements:
oBachelor's degree required, preferably Engineering or Business relatedo12
years of progressive manufacturing experience, preferably in a general management role with a manufacturing company or 10
years of increasing management responsibility in a manufacturing environmentoExperience managing cross-functional teams within a businessoStrong operational experience with the ability to establish and measure key performance indicators (KPIs)oProficient in Microsoft OfficeoWorking knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques, including but not limited to, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, Visual Management, and JIT Lean ManufacturingGreat to Haves:
oExperience working within ERP systems (E1 preferred)oDependable, honest, quick learner, good communication skills and team playeroAbility to work a flexible schedule including any days, shift, and weekends to ensure that the customer demand is metoAbility to learn new skills at a fast paceoBasic computer skillsPhysical Demands:
