_BASIC PURPOSE_:
The Recruitment Screener/Sourcer is responsible for creating a customer friendly environment to provide routine Human Resource support to Mercy Health candidates, internal customers, and new hires at all acute locations. The position works in collaboration with the site Healthcare Recruiter to ensure that administrative resources are available with the screening and sourcing of candidates for open positions and assisting the Human Resources Coordinator with the post offer/pre-employment process. The position is responsible for creating a positive first impression of the Human Resource Department, managing support documents and resources, coordinating processes and interacting with Human Resource customers to ensure a timely response to inquiries. The Recruitment Screener/Sourcer has a strong focus on-boarding support and follow up for new employees in the Acute Care Hospital setting.

_POSITION: SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES_
_Employment Pre-Screening and Sourcing:_ Coordinate activities related to pre-screening of applicants. Proactively source for candidates. Perform other administrative duties as assigned, related to recruitment.
Screen external candidates through ATS (Applicant Tracking System) on-line screening and perform initial phone screening.
Perform administrative duties such as running of MedVerify and H.S.I. Healthcare Selection Inventory behavioral assessment reports, ordering of SkillSurvey professional references
Route candidates to managers and recruiters through ATS (Applicant Tracking System), and schedule Healthcare Recruiter and Hiring Manager Face to Face Interviews through Lotus Notes system
Screen internal candidates for eligibility for transfer status and route appropriate candidates to hiring managers for consideration.
Maintain recruitment candidate lists for onboarding and recruitment lists of top candidates in the ATS (Applicant Tracking System) for follow-up periodically to maintain/gauge interest. Maintain reporting to show applicant activity (interviews, routed candidates, offers extended, etc.)
Conduct administrative tasks as assigned such as: coordinating interview schedules for Manager Level and above positions, coordinating hotel/flight arrangements for out of town candidates, etc
_Provide Assistance with Post-Offer/Pre-Employment Process_ :
Responsible for assisting HR Coordinator with Post Offer/Pre-Employment Process
Creation and mailing/emailing of formal, contingent offer letters and benefits packets to candidates
Ordering of background checks and education verifications through vendor
Ensuring proper scheduling of pre-placement physical, drug test, TB test through Employee Health Services
Provide timely and clear communication as to status of clearances for new hires
_Participation in Employment Fairs and Events:_
Assist in coordination of and working of employment fairs and events, as assigned, for Mercy Health.
Participate in regional and divisional sponsored events.
Assist site Healthcare Recruiter/s with site sponsored event coordination by scheduling space for event, working with dietary to provide refreshments, internal recruitment of managers and staff to participate in the event, and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED AND/OR TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree in Human Resources or related field or 2 years of equivalent experience in a customer service role. Microsoft Office skills, PeopleSoft and Lotus Notes experience preferred. Position requires the ability to multi-task in a stressful environment, strong interpersonal and communication skills, a detail orientation and high levels of confidentiality. Conflict management skills and flexibility are required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
